I have eaten so much food today, and I don't plan on stopping yet... Also this week was great just in case you guys were wondering. I know you guys all miss me sooooo much and were really sad that I didn't write yesterday on Wednesday like I did the last two weeks. Well now you can go ahead and add this email to the list of things that you are grateful for. I taught some super bomb.com lessons in spanish this week, and my companion and I are fired up to be learning more about the Gospel each and every day. Real quick let me share with you some things that I am grateful for. A loving Heavenly Father who cares so much about us and what happens to us. Our Savior Jesus Christ who Atoned for us so that we could become clean. The Spirit that helps us to learn and grow when we invite it to be with us. My Family who has been so supportive during my MTC experience and is rooting me on all the way (and not just my immediate family). This may be one of the very very few times where I can say I'm thankful for Covid-19 because without it I would have been eating cafeteria food in Mexico City instead of at home enjoying this time not only learning the same things, but enjoying the time with my family. I am thankful for my companion Elder Hanosek who motivates me and sets a good example and always has the spirit with him. I am grateful for Elder Staples who is not my companion but he always makes me laugh and helps me get through some of the harder, less exciting moments in the online Missionary Training center. And no, for all of you who are dying to know, Scooby's dog house is not finished yet, but we have made some great progress. I miss you all and hope you have given some thought to all the things you are grateful for, and I hope I am on the top of that list. Lot's of love, your favorite missionary

Life of Elder Golden
Week two is complete. I'm doing great. I have sorta started week three, so that means at the end of this week I will be halfway through the MTC, and will only have three weeks until I leave for Layton Utah. Don't tell my Mom, she might cry cause I'm definitely the favorite child and she will miss me so much. That may be a joke. Who knows. I am getting to know my district a lot better and they are some real cool cats. Also I had to teach a lesson in Spanish with my companion Elder Hanosek over zoom to actual Spanish speakers in Mexico and I don't know how they didn't just laugh at us the whole time. And yesterday we taught more people again and one guy told us we spoke really good Spanish and I was just thinking, "man I think I'm translating wrong cause he just said we spoke good Spanish". I am actually getting better at the language and understanding more each day so I am not completely lost all the time haha. HEY EVERYONE LISTEN UP!!! There is this really cool series called "The Chosen" that is about Christ and his Apostles and it's actually really funny, uplifting, and entertaining so I would recommend it to all of you. I believe you can watch it for free on the app so conveniently called "The Chosen". My Dad and I have also been building a dog house (for our dog Scooby). It looks really good and I know you guys all must be on the edge of your seat or jumping up and down right now saying something along the lines of, "wow no way, is it done yet? Can I see it?" Well no I'm so sorry it is not done yet, but as soon as it is I will show you guys the pictures.
Here are some highlights from this week.
Spiritual thought, God loves you and he answers prayers. In James 1:5 it says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” So if you really need to know something don't let anything keep you from asking Heavenly Father because he truly does answer our prayers.
Funny story, we were in a zoom call having a devotional and at the end of the lesson right before the closing prayer a kid literally fell out of his chair. All of a sudden he just yelled and you saw him fall backwards and heard his chair crash. I was dying laughing. He was ok.
Well anyways pleasure talking to you guys; feel free to ask me questions and I will feel free to maybe answer. Or you can tell me that you miss me because I miss you too. You guys are in my prayers. Have a great week all, talk to you next time.

First week of Home MTC
Well it's getting late because I procrastinated writing this, and I'm supposed to go to bed soon, so I will be brief. If you did not already know, I am currently training with the Mexico City MTC (missionary training center) from my home, on my computer. Every day I wake up at 6:00 am and get myself ready and log onto zoom at 7:00. I am in a "district" with other teenagers who are Missionaries for the Church and together we struggle to learn spanish. Oh yeah if you didn't know I'm going to be serving in Layton Utah in a spanish speaking area. So we have two three hour classes a day where we learn about the Gospel, and about spanish, and sometimes we put them together and learn about the Gospel in spanish. So much fun (sort of, mostly challenging). I have confidence that if I continue to work hard, study hard, and have a lot of faith, I can become proficient enough to teach people in spanish and they will be able to feel the spirit while I do so. Anyways that is a short look into what I'm up to in life, and if you have any questions please feel free to ask me. I promise I will provide much more detail next time, and tell you all about what I have been up to. Entonces, Dios tiene un plan para nosotros. Hasta luego mis amigos.
